New Landscape

So amongst trying to find a job, beginning new jobs and finding homes for uni things i have eventually managed to finish a painting i started about 2 weeks ago! Joy! Of course the paint is nice and thick and being oils i don't think i will be able to move it for another two! Anyways, enjoy x

It's been a while so thought i should update this a bit! What a crazy month June was what with finishing uni, emptying my flat and the awesome time that was Glasto! Anyways to start of July i thought i would post some images of my degree show, enjoy!

Just a little landscape i did the other day. Felt like doing something a bit different.

Last of three....

This is the last of the three glossy paintings. Going to explore painting on some different surfaces and with using different paints. Want a crisper surface with more of a mirror shine! Anyways i think these turned out well so opinions please x

Ooh shiny....

2 more new paintings, i have had a busy week!! Think there is a 3rd to come, im quite liking them. Just been toying with frames, windows and the idea of creating depth yet using a solid colour. It's actually quite annoying looking at these x

Life drawing....

Just some life drawing i have done recently. Playing around with the idea of recording movement. These were created in very short sittings (or rather walkings!) Was quite a challenge to record as much information as possible and interesting to think about how to record the movement of the figure.

Ok, just some quick paintings/ drawings i have done.... quite different to my usual stuff but taking the same kind of angle. Again all comments welcome, in fact make them even if they aren't relevant! make me feel wanted :)

Work, work, work....

So im back at uni after the holidays and now rushing to get things done arg! There is an upside however, the module that is due in has produced some nice results....

More paintings....

Just the other two pieces i hung at the Hans Brinker. Was a nightmare getting them there as some of the paint was still wet! Had to be separated by two clever little wooden contraptions thrown together by the technician (thanks Dan!!). Anyways, hope you like em'

Hans Brinker '09

Woo first pic uploaded! Just an image of my work hanging at the Hans Brinker Budget Trophy, Amsterdam in early December '09. I was chosen alongside 4 fellow students to attend and represent our university at the painting prize which included 25 English students and 10 Dutch, 5 from each art college. Excellent experience and an awesome city! Think i may have to go back.

Hey all, thought i would finally get my act together and start a blog, good plan eh? Where to start....well you i'm a third year degree student hoping to have a career in the arts!

Have a look at some of my work (when i upload pics etc) and let me know what you think. I will try and keep this up to date of what im up to etc!
